The Community Tools section is the core element within your community web site to address any issues concerning your neighborhood. Here you can create, review and comment on ballots before putting the ballot up for voting. You can also open discussions on any issues concerning the association or your individual home as well as find preferred vendors that have been qualified by your neighbors.

Feature

InsideHOA community discussions area is designed to talk about a subject and assist you in a speedy conclusion. Throughout the site we used what we call [Subject tags] to tag information on property diary items. Since these diary items will be the standard for topics in discussions, meetings, newsletters, emails and notes. these tags will prove to be helpful in connecting the dots of information.

We have started by creating several default categories that are applicable to virtually all communities. These are:

	Landscape - The Landscape discussion forum shall be used to address anything concerning your backyard and front yard. Instead of walking over ten times hoping your neighbor is home, you now have the opportunity to submit your request on here. Another example could be the sprinkler system built by the developer that is watering your fence requiring you to paint it more that you would like to. These and other more concerns facing a homeowner can be itemized here.
	Structures -The Structure section will receive a lot of attention as it is used to voice your concerns on any structural and building maintenance of your home and or community. For example, you can bring up for discussion to have certain sidewalks painted red to avoid excessive parking. If you find sufficient support, you may bring it to a ballot and receive votes for it. Depending on your individual community regulations, you may only require half of the members to vote in favor on this particular issue. You will receive increased participation through the electronic form of communication. Instead of waiting for another HOA meeting, your neighbors can now vote instantly via email and through this web site. Other items that will be addressed in this section are roof maintenance, dwelling paint, gates, pool issues etc.
	Corporate Governance - In the Corporate Governance Section you will find mostly administrative and organizational issues. The Board might ask for your vote on amending the bylaws, for example, or set a new budget for next year and anything that the Board is required to comply with in order to keep the community properly formed and functional according to law.
	Events & Activities - Some communities have many outings some have fewer but it is very likely that some form of function will happen in your neighborhood. This section allows for interested neighbors to post their plans for parties, neighborhood walks, activities but also address security concern to organize neighborhood watches.
	Miscellaneous - This Section gives you the opportunity to post anything else that might not fit in the above categories. Remember that not every neighbor will read your discussion but every neighbor will receive an email once your discussion turn into a ballot for voting.

The homeowner and the board can start discussions within each of these categories on a topic. If there is a point in the conversation where a topic needs majority rule. then a ballot can be created get a majority vote. You can find all the ballots and the details pertaining to them in the "Voting Center" which is a drop down or icon on your main menu.

All of this is done electronically on this web site. Each homeowner will receive an email once a measure has been put up for voting. No more mailing of endless pieces of paper. You are not only contributing your fare share to save the environment but you save money for yourself and your community. The Board of each community can add additional categories if they choose to do so.

Benefit

The benefit goes to everyone in your community. In over 95% of all communities, you will very likely see flyers posted on the community mailboxes concerning everything from a lost cat to reminders of upcoming HOA meetings. We don’t necessarily believe that fliers will be eliminated once your community is signed up with InsideHOA, but virtual neighborhoods are on the rise across the country especially in Southern California. Very likely every neighbor in your neighborhood will have an email account. Those who don’t will continue to receive regular mail. Newly planned neighborhoods will find this tool very helpful as many issues will arrive that need to be addressed by the developer selling the new homes such as front yards (Landscape), plumbing, electrical (Structures) etc. Older and more established communities will hugely benefit from this tool as their Boards find it increasingly difficult to receive the homeowners attention and participation via regular mail. Participation is simple, just a mouse click away from your email, that you check everyday anyway. You will experience an increased involvement of both, the Board and the homeowner on important issues addressing your community. This alone enhances the value of your home making it more desirable for future buyers.
